Her Story
Born in beautiful Cache Valley, Utah, JoAnna loves spending time in the mountains and traveling, both of which she attributes to her "gypsy soul." In early childhood a series of learning disabilities led to countless hours of spelling practice, journaling, and reading, culminating in her love of words. With pen in hand, she overcame these roadblocks and now views them as vital tools in her writing journey.
JoAnna's husband is the PB to her JJ. She is the mother of four very tall sons, a U.S. Army Veteran, and is a legacy graduate from Methodist University with a Bachelor of Science in History. Signed with Cursed Dragon Ship Publishing in 2021, she released her debut science fantasy novel, Daughter of a King, in the fall of 2021. She is also published in the anthology, Misspelled: Magic Gone Awry, featuring her short story, "Plants & Prophecies", which is a prequel to the novel further expanding the Cosmos in the Daughters of Taeron series.
Not a stranger to the curve balls of life, JoAnna found herself on the path of chronic illness in the fall of 2022. Since that time she and her family have focused on finding a solution and new normal. The writing continues, just at a slower pace. It is JoAnna's hope to release the 2nd book of the Daughters of Taeron series in 2026.
