Born in beautiful Cache Valley, Utah, JoAnna loves spending time in the mountains and traveling, both of which she attributes to her "gypsy soul." In early childhood a series of learning disabilities led to countless hours of spelling practice, journaling, and reading, culminating in her love of words. With pen in hand, she overcame these roadblocks and now views them as vital tools in her writing journey.

 

She is the mother of four sons, a U.S. Army Veteran, and has a Bachelor of Science in History from Methodist University. JoAnna is signed with Cursed Dragon Ship Publishing and released Daughter of a King, a young adult science fantasy novel in the fall of 2022. She is also published in the anthology, Misspelled: Magic Gone Awry, featuring her short story, "Plants & Prophecies", which is a prequel to the Daughters of Taeron series.
